Ozzy Osbourne tries out for CNN

Ozzy Osbourne jokingly tried out for the role of announcer on the CNN news program Anderson Cooper 360, showing up live on the program with Cooper for his "audition. Ozzy's appearance was part of a CNN stunt poking fun at actor Michael Douglas' recent hiring as the "voice" of NBC News.

In other Ozzy news, a silent auction was held at his Tuesday (January 8th) night show in Worcester, Massachusetts, with Ozzy and his wife Sharon, plus New England sports teams such as the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics all donating items. All proceeds were marked for the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
