Yoko Ono unveils John Lennon Educational Bus in Las Vegas
Yoko Ono unveiled the 2008 John Lennon Educational Bus on Monday (January 8th) at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Rollingstone.com reported that bus will travel across North America and will feature interactive hands-on lessons which will teach children the fundamentals of studio recording. It was also reported that Ono is in the final negotiations with Ralph Marlin and Company to lease out Lennon's artwork for use in a new brand of neckties, and possibly a series of Lennon sleepwear and boxer shorts.
Over the years Lennon's artwork, most of which was created during his self-imposed retirement between 1975 and 1980, has found its way onto numerous items including coffee mugs, computer mouse pads, and assorted other clothing items.
Yoko Ono's 1981 song "No, No, No" recently topped Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart, making Ono, who celebrates her 75th birthday next month, the oldest person to ever top the dance charts.
