Bob Dylan & David Bowie become "Heroes"
Bob Dylan and David Bowie will both appear on the soundtrack of the hit NBC series Heroes, which arrives March 18th. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bowie has fittingly contributed his song "Heroes," while Dylan's "Man in the Long Black Coat," off his 1989 album Oh Mercy, will also appear on the set. Producers of the show were happy that Dylan agreed because they say he's usually "very choosy" with lending out songs. The release will feature songs from Panic At the Disco, Imogen Heap, Wilco and Brighton Port Authority featuring Iggy Pop.
There will also be five music video montage podcasts featuring Heroes footage set to songs from the album, which will be available for free download beginning February 29th.
The CD will be sold at Best Buy stores. A digital version will be available at Zune and other providers.
Heroes will return for a third season in the fall.
