Eric Clapton opens three-night stand in New York

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood opened their joint three-night stand at New York City's Madison Square Garden Monday night (February 25th) with a blend of hits and lesser-known tracks by Blind Faith, Cream, Traffic, Derek and the Dominoes, blues greats, and their respective solo careers.

Clapton played a range of guitars and Winwood played guitar, grand piano, and a Hammond B-3 organ, in front of a five-piece band. They traded off some lead vocals, including on some songs normally just sung by Clapton.
