Foo Fighters suing Marvel Comics
Foo Fighters are suing Marvel Comics, home of characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Hulk, according to RollingStone.com. The band has filed suit against the comics giant for copyright infringement, claiming that the company used "substantial excerpts" of its songs "Best of You" and "Free Me" in a trailer for a new animated series called Wolverine and the X-Men. First Serve International, Toonz Animation India and First Serve Toonz, all producers for the series, were also named in the suit, which seeks unspecified damages. The trailer recently surfaced at movieweb.com.
Foo Fighters won two 2008 Brit Awards on Wednesday night (February 21st) for Best International Album and Best International Band, adding to their pair of Grammy wins two weeks earlier.
The current Foo Fighters tour wraps up on March 30th in Vancouver, but Foo Fighters will be back in the U.S. this summer, with the first few dates going on sale this weekend.
