My Chemical Romance keeps adding to 2008 tour
My Chemical Romance keeps adding to its spring tour. The band has tacked second nights onto its stops in Portland, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia, and has booked brand new shows in Mexico City, Cleveland, St. Louis, Birmingham, Alabama and Columbus, Ohio. The New Jersey-based act has also confirmed a concert at New York City's historic Madison Square Garden on May 9th, which is the last date on the schedule. The jaunt is still slated to begin on March 28th in Tempe, Arizona.
The Garden show is the one large-scale exception to the rest of the tour, which is visiting smaller venues. Bassist Mikey Way called the New York gig "the show of our dreams" in a post at the band's Web site. He added, "This is a great goodbye to The Black Parade tour and the beginning of the next chapter in My Chemical Romance."
A live CD/DVD titled The Black Parade is Dead! is tentatively due out on April 22nd.
