Rolling Stones to release CD of concert movie soundtrack
The soundtrack to the Rolling Stones' Martin Scorsese-directed documentary Shine A Light will be released on April 1st, in both single and double disc editions.The tracklisting to the full double disc version of Shine A Light is:
Disc One: "Jumping Jack Flash," "Shattered," "She Was Hot," "All Down The Line," "Loving Cup" with Jack White, "As Tears Go By," "Some Girls," "Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)," "Far Away Eyes," "Champagne & Reefer" with Buddy Guy, "Tumbling Dice," "You Got The Silver," and "Connection."
Disc Two: "Sympathy For The Devil," "Live With Me" with Christina Aguilera, "Start Me Up," "Brown Sugar," (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "Paint It Black," "Little T&A," "I'm Free," and "Shine A Light."
The single disc version, which is only available in the U.S., features the songs:
"Jumping Jack Flash," "She Was Hot," "All Down The Line," "Loving Cup" with Jack White, "As Tears Go By," "Some Girls," "Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)," "Far Away Eyes," "Champagne & Reefer" with Buddy Guy, Band Introductions, "You Got The Silver," "Connection," "Sympathy For The Devil," "Live With Me" with Christina Aguilera, "Start Me Up," and "Brown Sugar."
Shine A Light features the first officially released live versions of "All Down The Line," "Some Girls," "Connection," "She Was Hot," and "As Tears Go By."
Shine A Light was filmed and recorded on October 29th and November 1st, 2006 at New York City's Beacon Theatre.
The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival on February 7th, with the Stones set to attend the UK premiere on April 2nd at London's Leicester Square.
Shine A Light will open in select U.S. theaters on April 4th.
