Van Halen postpones shows
Van Halen postponed two concerts over the weekend, including a Friday night (February 22nd) performance in Charlottesville, Virginia and Monday night's (February 25th) show in Duluth, Georgia. No reason was given for the postponements. According to Blabbermouth, the concerts will be rescheduled and the new dates will be announced shortly, with tickets for the original gigs to be honored on the new dates. Refunds will be available at the original point of purchase. The next scheduled Van Halen concert is March 3rd in Dallas, Texas.
Van Halen kicked off this latest run of tour dates in January and has shows booked well into April. The band hit the road last fall with original singer David Lee Roth on the mic for the first time in 22 years.
The 39-date 2007 run earned over $56 million, putting it at Number Five on trade magazine Pollstar's year-end list of the top-grossing tours.
