Aerosmith guitarist recovering from surgery

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is in the hospital recovering from a successful total knee replacement surgery. After last Tuesday's (March 18th) operation, Perry spent a few days in ICU where doctors stabilized his pain. He'll spend a few more days in a private room before going home to continue his recovery through the end of the year. According to his rep, Perry put off the surgery for two years "so that he could fulfill the band's live commitments and perform for fans."

Perry has canceled his April 5th solo show in Niagara Falls, New York, so he can recover from the surgery.

The 57-year-old guitarist's knee gave out early this month after a pair of performances with his two sons.
