The Eagles to open Hard Rock park
The Eagles and the Moody Blues have been tapped to play the opening celebration of Hard Rock Park this spring in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Eagles will play June 2nd at the rock and roll theme park, and the Moody Blues will do a June 3rd show for the debut of a ride featuring their hit song "Nights in White Satin." There will also be a celebrity golf tournament featuring LPGA star Paula Creamer, Moody Blues members and other golf pros. The park features themed rides from various artists, including Led Zeppelin. Ticket packages for the shows go on sale March 17th. The $250 ticket cost gets you into both concerts and park admission for two days, as well as entrance into the golf tournament, food, beverages and souvenirs.
Hard Rock Park is scheduled to open to a limited number of people on April 15th, followed by an official opening May 9th.
The regular park ticket costs $50. The 55-acre park cost $400 million to build.
The Eagles kick off a European tour this month.
The Moody Blues will be out on an extensive U.S. tour throughout March and April.
