Keith Richards the new face of Louis Vuitton
Rocker Keith Richards has a taken on a new role as the public face of French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton. According to Agence France-Presse, the Rolling Stones guitarist will be part of his first-ever advertising campaign at the ripe age of 64. Richards is pictured cradling his guitar on the bed of a hotel room with skull-print black drapes. The ad features the tag line, "Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3 am. Blues in C." Famed photographer-to-the-stars Annie Leibovitz shot the ad, which should begin appearing in magazines next month. Richards reportedly plans to donate his fee to the Climate Project, launched by Nobel-winning former U.S. vice-president Al Gore and backed by Louis Vuitton.Richards joins a list of Vuitton models that includes former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev, French film icon Catherine Deneuve, and American actresses Scarlett Johansson and Uma Thurman.
