Def Leppard preps for "Sparkle Lounge"
Def Leppard is gearing up to release its Songs From the Sparkle Lounge album on April 29th. The 11-track set marks the group's first since 2002's X. Def Leppard recorded the material at singer Joe Elliott's Dublin studio. He tells us the title dates back to 2006 when the band dubbed its backstage area the "Sparkle Lounge": [

Name one of 81 venues that we did on the 2006 tour, one of those rooms, we had a mini set-up in it, you know, a little kit, little backline, which we would go in, like, you know, pre- and post-soundcheck and literally just make ourselves, force ourselves to work these songs around and even write a couple." The new Def Leppard single, "Nine Lives," features Tim McGraw. It has become the featured track in a special opening segment recorded for NBA games airing on ABC.
Def Leppard's tour stopped in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, April 4th.
On April 30th, Def Leppard will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
