Keith Richards might donate guitars
Keith Richards says that he might donate some of his 3,000 guitars to a museum.Richards, who is publicizing the Rolling Stones new concert film Shine A Light, told The Melbourne Herald-Sun, "I've probably got too many. I have 3,000 guitars and only one pair of hands. It's an incredible collection of beautiful instruments but I only play about ten of them, and guitars have to be played. Maybe I will give them away or make a museum."
He admitted that he's surprised that he's racked up so many instruments as gifts, joking, "I don't know what I've done to deserve that. I've been one of the biggest a**holes in the world!"
Richards says the success of Shine A Light has as much to do with the vibe of New York's Beacon Theatre as it does Martin Scorsese's direction and the Stones' live performance: [

The room sort of wraps its arms around you, and every night gets warmer. So it's a great feeling room. And also, hey, this band (laughs) didn't start off in stadiums." The Rolling Stones' Shine A Light is in theaters now.
