Lead singer Brian Johnson broke that news in an interview with a Washington D.C. radio station on Tuesday (April 22nd), adding that guitarist Angus and Malcolm Young were still at the studio in Vancouver, Canada to supervise the mix with producers Brendan O'Brien and Mike Fraser. Johnson also said in the interview that the band will tour in support of the disc. The veteran Australian hard rock act entered the studio on March 1st to begin work on its first album since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip.
O'Brien is known for his work with Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen and Velvet Revolver, among others.
Rumors that AC/DC's next tour will be a "farewell" trek have been circulating for weeks, although the band has yet to make an official announcement.
