Richie Sambora may face police charges
Police are recommending that Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora be charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI and child endangerment stemming from his March 25th arrest, People reports. Police in Laguna Beach, California have turned the case over to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, which will decide what formal charges will be filed. Legal experts say if Sambora is charged with both counts, a jail sentence is likely though it could be plea bargained to a lesser offense or he may get rehab instead of jail. The 48-year-old rocker was arrested last month after police spotted his Hummer driving erratically. Also in the car were Sambora's 10-year-daughter Ava from his marriage to Heather Locklear, Ava's teenage cousin, and Richie's girlfriend, Jenn Mallini. Arraignment has tentatively been set for May 7th.
In April 2007, Sambora's divorce from Locklear was finalized and his father died of lung cancer. In June, Sambora entered a rehab facility and broke up with Denise Richards after dating for about a year.
