Ex Guns N' Roses drummer approached for Celebrity Rehab spin off
Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler has reportedly been approached to star in Sober Living, a proposed spin-off of the popular VH1 series Celebrity Rehab, according to the New York Post. In addition to Adler, ex-Crazy Town singer Seth "Shifty Shellshock" Binzer may also make the list of so-called "celebrities" appearing in the new program. The show would put several alumni of Celebrity Rehab together in a Beverly Hills mansion for 30 days as they try to rebuild their lives and careers after getting clean and sober.Adler appears on the second season of Celebrity Rehab, which will premiere this October on VH1. His stay last month at a Los Angeles rehab center supervised by Dr. Drew Pinsky will be shown on the program.
Adler's former Guns bandmate, guitarist Slash, told us he staged his own intervention for Adler late last year. Slash added that Adler is not your typical rock 'n' roll junkie: [

He's like, you know, the most naive and most innocent of the bunch of us because he was just like, 'I just want to play drums and f*** girls,' and that's all he really, really wanted to do. The more complicated it got, the more he couldn't handle it." Filming on Sober Living could start as early as next week, if VH1 decides to proceed with the show. Pinsky would be prominently featured in the new program in addition to Celebrity Rehab.
