Former Guns N' Roses drummer arrested on drug charges
Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler was arrested early Friday morning (July 18th) in Hollywood and charged with possession of narcotics and being under the influence, according to TMZ.com. Los Angeles police said that the 43-year-old Adler was arrested around 4 a.m. after officers were called to a home where a man reportedly was creating a disturbance and refusing to leave. Adler was also booked for investigation for an outstanding warrant and jailed on $45,000 bail.Adler recently participated in the second season of the VH1 reality series Celebrity Rehab, in which various so-called celebrities struggle to beat their addictions. The new season will premiere this fall.
Adler was also signed to appear on a follow-up program called Sober Living, which would track the lives of cast members after they leave rehab.
Guns N' Roses' original drummer, Adler played on the band's landmark 1987 debut album, Appetite for Destruction, but was later fired because of his drug use. He was replaced by Matt Sorum.
