Offspring, Franz Ferdinand lead "Madden 09" lineup

The Offspring, Airbourne, Disturbed and Franz Ferdinand lead the lineup of artists contributing songs to the soundtrack of the upcoming Madden 09 video game, coming on August 12th from EA Sports. According to Billboard.com, Franz Ferdinand's offering is a brand new cut called "Lucid Dreams," which is also scheduled to appear next February on the Scottish group's third album. Most of the other acts are represented by previously released tracks, with the exception of Gym Class Heroes and their new tune, "I'm Home."

Other artists whose music is included in the game are Shinedown, Trivium, From First to Last, the All American Rejects and Rev Theory. Also featured is "We Made It," the new collaboration between Linkin Park and rapper Busta Rhymes.

A different artist from the set will perform on a late night show each evening during the week of August 4th to promote the game and 26-song soundtrack.
