Rush to make first U.S. TV appearance since 1975
Rush will make its first U.S. TV appearance since 1975 when it performs "Tom Sawyer" on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report tonight (July 16th) at 11:30 ET. The show is increasingly becoming a platform for music artists and has hosted such acts as R.E.M., Neil Young, Peter Frampton, John Mellencamp and others. Rush is in the midst of its latest North American tour in support of its 2007 album Snakes & Arrows.
Rush's next show is on Thursday, July 17th in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The outing wraps July 24th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rush will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.
