Oasis returns to U.S. stages

Oasis returned to a U.S. stage for the first time in nearly two and a half years when it kicked off its world tour in Seattle on Tuesday night (August 26th). According to NME.com, the veteran British act's 18-song set included four numbers from its upcoming new album, Dig Out Your Soul, including current single "The Shock of the Lightning." The group also mixed in favorites such as "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Champagne Supernova" as well as their traditional show-closing cover of the Beatles' "I Am The Walrus."

The show marked the live debut of new drummer Chris Sharrock, latest in a long line of men behind the kit for the group. Guitarist Noel Gallagher joked that Oasis was "trying to break Spinal Tap's record" for the number of drummers employed by the band.

Dig Out Your Soul, the British band's seventh studio album, arrives in stores on October 7th.
