Oasis playing rare club show in New York

Oasis has announced that it will play a rare club show at a venue called Terminal Five in New York City on Friday, September 12th. Fans must register at the official Oasis website, oasisinet.com, for a chance to purchase either one or two tickets. Tickets will not be available through the usual outlets. The site is accepting applications for ticket purchase from now through midday on Wednesday (September 3rd), with tickets costing $50 each. Doors are at 7 p.m.

The venue itself will be "reconfigured" for the show, according to the band's publicist.

The British group will be promoting the arrival of its seventh studio album, Dig Out Your Soul, which hits the streets on October 7th.

Oasis kicked off its first North American tour in nearly two and a half years last Tuesday (August 26th) and plays on Thursday (September 4th) in Ottawa, Canada. The trek will end with the New York show.
