Guns N' Roses listening parties happening next week

Guns N' Roses has scheduled several free listening parties around the country for fans to check out the long-delayed new album Chinese Democracy. The events will begin in New York, Dallas, and Chicago on Monday, November 17th and continue through the rest of the week, leading up to the November 23rd arrival of the record, which will be sold exclusively through Best Buy in America. The listening parties are open to the public, although no cell phones or recording devices will be allowed in the venues. Anyone who pre-orders Chinese Democracy at BestBuy.com and brings a receipt will go the front of the admission line and also receive a free T-shirt.

Chinese Democracy is the first collection of new material under the Guns N' Roses name since 1991's Use Your Illusion I and II.

A review published by Rolling Stone this week called the disc "a great, audacious, unhinged and uncompromising hard rock record."
