Pink Floyd vs EMI Records
Pink Floyd is suing EMI Records, its record company of 43 years, accusing the label of "miscalculating" their royalty payments. Rolling Stone reported that the band most likely filed suit against EMI and its private equity firm owners Terra Firma after its latest negotiations which transpire every three years. There has been no word as to how much the band is seeking in back payment and damages. Floyd is second only to the Beatles in terms of annual catalogue sales for the label.
