Converse launches AC/DC, Metallica shoes

Converse's new fall 2009 collection includes shoes branded with designs featuring AC/DC and Metallica. Iconic logos, graphics and images associated with both groups adorn the four new Chuck Taylor All Star lines. The AC/DC shoes come in "Back In Black" and "Highway To Hell" designs, while the Metallica shoes feature "Ride The Lightning" graphics and other iconic imagery from the group. All the shoes retail for between $50 and $80 and will be available this month in America through converse.com, specialty outlets and department stores.

One of the AC/DC designs features an image of guitarist Angus Young emblazoned with the words "Lock Up Your Daughters."

The shoes are available in a variety of black, red, leather and canvas versions.

Metallica is touring Europe throughout the summer but will launch a North American trek this fall, while AC/DC will hit the U.S. again this summer.
