Rock drummers unite for project

Velvet Revolver's Matt Sorum, Motley Crue's Tommy Lee and 30 Seconds To Mars' Shannon Leto are a few of the drummers making guest appearances on the new album from tribal drumming trio Street Drum Corps, called Street Drum Corps Presents BANG!'s Big Noise. Also appearing are Angels & Airwaves drummer Atom Willard, Atreyu drummer Brandon Sellar and others. With that project completed, the trio is now preparing its major label debut as well.

In other news, former Foo Fighters drummer William Goldsmith and current Foos bassist Nate Mendel are reuniting with their old band, Sunny Day Real Estate, for a 20-date U.S. tour that will mark the legendary emo outfit's first live shows in a decade. Sub Pop Records will reissue the band's first two albums with bonus tracks and new liner notes on September 15th to commemorate the trek, which begins on September 17th in Vancouver.
