Aerosmith keeps scrapping shows
Aerosmith has postponed another two concerts, including Tuesday night's (July 7th) gig in Raleigh, North Carolina and Thursday's (July 9th) in Charlotte, because of a still-undisclosed injury to singer Steven Tyler. These are the fourth and fifth gigs scrapped by the group since last week, when a July 1st date in Cincinnati was called off, followed by gigs in Hershey, Pennsylvania and Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Raleigh show was also supposed to mark the return of guitarist Brad Whitford, who has sat out the trek's first few weeks while recovering from a head injury.Aerosmith's next scheduled concert is on Saturday (July 11th) in Tampa, Florida. It is not yet known whether that show will go and if Whitford will be there.
Guitarist Joe Perry has taken to Twitter in recent days to apologize to fans for the postponements and encourage them to "pray" for Tyler's swift return.
Although the nature of his ailment has not been revealed, a number of fans reported that he seemed to pull a leg muscle at the group's last show, on June 29th in Connecticut.
