Metallica pays tribute to Michael Jackson

Metallica paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson during the band's encore in Hockenheim, Germany at the July 4th date of the Sonisphere Festival. The group played a portion of Jackson's classic "Beat It" before segueing into its cover of Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy."

The original version of "Beat It" features Michael Jackson on vocals and Eddie Van Halen on guitar. Van Halen was drafted in to add the distinctive overdriven guitar solo with tapping.
