Roger Daltrey planning solo gigs
Despite the fact that there's been no official announcement made by Roger Daltrey, ticketmaster.com has posted two solo November dates for the Who frontman. The dates are November 10th in Baltimore, Maryland at the Lyric Opera House, and November 18th in Norfolk Virginia at the Chrysler Hall. Both venues are around 2,500-seat theaters. Although no on sale date has been listed for the Baltimore show, tickets for Daltrey's Norfolk gig will go on sale on August 8th. According to messages posted on the usually reliable Pete Townshend fan board The Shout (theshout.yuku.com), Daltrey is rumored to be planning a full 27-date fall tour. The November shows mark his first full-scale solo shows since 1995.

I knew if I ever stopped singing, I wouldn't be able to do this. So I just make sure I keep singing, keep the voice in... Singing seven gigs a year (with the Who) is not good enough for a singer. You've got to keep doing it, especially singing the way I sing. I could do some serious damage if I stopped, so I've got to keep going. And I don't want to start another rock band."
