Eric Clapton backs out of Rock Hall show
Eric Clapton has backed out of Friday's (October 30th) appearance at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 25th Anniversary Concerts to have his gallstones removed, according to Reuters. According to a statement, Clapton, who is 64, "will spend time recuperating at home in the UK and is very sorry to disappoint the fans and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."According to rockhall25.com, the Jeff Beck Band and other special guests will be stepping in during Clapton's portion of the show. No refunds will be given.
Other artists set to perform are: U2, Buddy Guy, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Ray Davies, Aretha Franklin, Annie Lennox, Lenny Kravitz, Jeff Beck, and Jerry Lee Lewis.
