Dio diagnosed with stomach cancer

Singer Ronnie James Dio, "the voice of Heavy metal", has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. The Rainbow and Black Sabbath legend apparently is in the early stages of the illness.

His wife and manager Wendy announced that he was starting treatment immediately at the Mayo clinic in America and would be back on stage after "he kills this dragon" ("Killing the Dragon" was Dio's ninth studio album).

Several days ago it was announced that all Dio's European tour dates are cancelled and refunds are being issued, with Ronnie James Dio, 67, being in a hospital for unspecified reasons.
