Lenny Kravitz wants to release new album by spring 2010
Lenny Kravitz plans to release a new album by next summer. He tells Billboard.com that he may even finish it up by this December and put it out by spring 2010. As for the sound, Kravitz describes it as "schizophrenic." He adds, "It's a very Gemini album. It's super raw, very raw with a lot of jazz and R&B elements. There's still a rock sound to it, of course, but it's more on the funk side." Meanwhile, Kravitz is also busy with his acting career, appearing in the new Lee Daniels-directed film, Precious, which hits theaters Friday (November 6th) and co-stars Mariah Carey. Kravitz says, "I play Nurse John, who's an interesting character. He's not in the original book. They wrote him in to have a positive African American male role." Kravitz could team up with Daniels again soon, revealing that they may start shooting another film in January.
