Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck announce North American dates

Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck have announced three North American dates for February. Pollstar.com announced the duo will play on February 18th at New York City's Madison Square Garden, February 21st at Toronto's Air Canada Center, and February 22nd at Montreal's Bell Centre. Prior to the three dates, Clapton and Beck will play a two-night-stand on February 13th and 14th at London's O2 Arena. So far no additional North America shows have been announced.

Beck is eager to bring the show to the U.S. and Canadian fans: "Eric and I played together in Japan earlier this year and had a blast. Since then we have been in regular contact and talked about doing a similar show for our fans. Looking forward to the shows in 2010."

Clapton says that he's used to being referred to as a "Guitar God" -- although he admits he's not really sure he deserves that kind of recognition: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "If it's true -- and I presume you think it is -- then I think it's a wonderful thing, and it's a great honor to be able to have that. It's a privilege, you know, that I'm very grateful for. I would never want to belittle that."
