Quick Takes: Slash, Ozzy, MeatLoaf

Meat Loaf will release his new album called Hang Cool Teddy Bear on April 23rd. The concept album is based on a short story by Killian Kerwin. Among the guest performers are Queen guitarist Brian May, Steve Vai, Justin Hawkins from the Darkness, Jack Black, and House actor Hugh Laurie.

Ozzy Osbourne will be given a key to the city of West Palm Beach, Florida on Friday afternoon (February 26th) at the town's Centennial Square. Mayor Lois Frankel will present the key to Ozzy "in recognition for his many years of bringing both his shows and Ozzfest to South Florida."

Slash has selected "By The Sword" as the first single from his upcoming self-titled solo debut, due out in April. The song, which features Andrew Stockdale of Wolfmother on vocals, will arrive at radio stations this weekend. Other guest vocalists on the record include Ian Astbury, Chris Cornell, Fergie, Dave Grohl, Myles Kennedy, Kid Rock, Lemmy Kilmister, M. Shadows, Ozzy Osbourne and more.
