Tool's Maynard James Keenan likes to "absorb life" between albums
Although Tool singer Maynard James Keenan is busy with other ventures like his vineyards and his rock cabaret act Puscifer, he did hint to us in a new interview that he's done some writing for the next Tool album. But Keenan also added that he's perfectly comfortable taking a long time between projects: [

And then that third record ends up being all about the inside of a bus and something that happened backstage 'cause what else have they seen? And I've pretty much tried my best to avoid that album by taking time between writing projects to kind of absorb life in general -- have some experiences, read a few books, get into a different headspace and then wait 'til the time is right." Tool's last album, 10,000 Days, came out in 2006.
Puscifer is on tour now and plays at New York City's Grand Ballroom on Thursday (March 11th).
A documentary about Keenan's Arizona-based vineyard and winemaking business, titled Blood Into Wine, is screening now around the country and arrives on DVD later this month.
